In chains

I must have forgotten
Who I am
This lies have been louder
For quite awhile
Did I forget
Grace reaches this far

It’s not that I left
It’s just that I fell
I’m not a prodigal child
I just let sin take control

I let my flesh have it’s fill
And boy does it burn
Now that it’s done
I feel so unworthy
Even though I can’t see you
My face is downcast
I can’t stand in your presence because of this messing

On knees I weep and mourn
I promise I won’t no more
Only to be back with words I said before

I’m in chains in my sin
I’m a mess in a pit
And can’t on my own

So teach me to be pure
It’s harder than it looks
Teach me holiness
I long for your perfection

Come up again! Coz I’m not listening

It might be hard to believe
But they do exist
These jealous wannabes
Who are bent to bring you down

Do you know who you are?
Yes ride on that
These critics they talk too much
Say too much
Truth is they just wanna be you
But can’t coz they can’t

All they want is to make you feel unworthy
Telling you your not worthy
When really you’re good enough
Much more coz He (God) says you are

So the next time Someone tries to mess your talent
“Tell them I am the talent
Born for this talent
And He’s the only one who crafts this talent
To perfection”

So hush!
I am who God says I am
What my mama says I am
And never what you say I am
I am the most talented person you’ll ever meet
Just you wait…..
Jaws drop when it blossoms

Mecrophobia (fear of death)

It’s an offence to say it’s name
Inappropriate to talk of it
And if you raise your voice just a little loud
You’re hushed

No one wants to talk of it’s heritage
Blinded they remain
Too afraid they forget
He who had stolen was arrested
His crown taken
when LIFE resurrected

Death is but a part of our past
But led to the idea we accept her
as the end of life

Death is but the beginning
a climax to eternity

YES!
All who are born physically must die
From the ground you come
you must return
This is an undeniable truth
A low from the beginning of time

But you need not be afraid of her
because her kingdom is in ruins
her powers taken
she was defeated
by life everlasting

Here’s to Us

Time has passed days have gone, the year has finally come to an end. A great deal had happened within those twelve months. Our trust was broken, our innocence taken and our destiny almost lost.

The trigger was pulled and the bullets did hurt but not any more. The knife cut deep tears fell like rivers not of weakness but of strength we never knew we had.

Last year we learned lessons of life’s wonders, experienced victory though checkered by failure, suffering but CHRIST love assured us. We found peace in the midst of war, discomfort in the time of change and learned forgiveness the art of letting go.

Here’s to us, a circle of friendship we build. Here’s to love lost and found, to new beginnings and new memories as we say goodbye to old songs.

Remember

The journey never stops until death does its part.

So get ready this year there’s another battle, a bigger giant but don’t be shaken dear warrior. As we begin dare to dream again to love again and not let last year define you.

A Christmas story

“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” (Luke2:10-12)

From the line of Abraham a new era begins as a new heir is born. A promise from the Farther of all ages to restore.

An angel is sent, Gabriel is his name, to a woman the heavens consider to be pure. “You will be with child Jesus is his name he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever his kingdom will never end.” (Luke1:30-33)

A scream is heard in Bethlehem in Judea, then silence…. Suddenly a cry of hope. The Magi arrive with gifts to present before the king of Jews.

Every story has a villain. This one had a king so cruel, mischievous and sleek who tried to trick to kill the savior child born to save our souls, but all his efforts come undone.

A child cries in a manger as the angels sing “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests.”

Ooh Shepherds spread the word of what you’ve heard, praise the Lord of what you’ve seen which were just as they had been told.

This Christmas story is not for you to keep but to pass it on to the next generation with no hesitation.

The train to glory

The train to glory
For all holy
And this is no made up story
Arrives with somebody

I’m sorry
If you’re not ready
For this journey of many
Who gave up plenty
To be empty
For His entry

I’m advising
Do not cling to temptation
Saying you’re living to vanish
Only to resurface in furnace
Regretting not inviting

And if you’re not repenting
When we’ll be departing
You’ll be regretting
You’re vanity living

So keep on searching and serving
Seeking and finding
Reading and learning
of LOVE you didn’t earn it
Yet given to you, unworthy

Saints endure all
Patiently awaiting His imminent arrival
Yet not neglecting the ministry
Nor forgetting, a HOLY CITY awaits us
And the train will take us
out of the realm of earth and time,
into eternity, far beyond galaxy
Towards the gates of splendor
To a place of serenity
Our final destination

Be ready when the conductor
calls out
ALL ABOARD THE TRAIN TO GLORY”

Meaningless

Meaningless! Chasing after the winds of vanity we move at the speed of light following a path not known hoping to find purpose. Suffocated we run, thirsty we run a million miles towards fulfilment but find none.

We search so desperately, so much we indulge in ungodly behavior by drinking up our misery, dancing in the tune of adultery, pouring our frustration on others and why is honesty long forgotten?

Like fools we search leaving no stone unturned, we dig so deep we can’t climb out. But do we ever find it? This reason for living? We try so hard but every turn leads us back to the same spot we began.

1) Who am I?

A question so many ask but are too afraid to admit. So we put on a good show, our lives seem perfect but if you look a little closer you realize it’s all a sham. Lost we all seek our identity and without it we are like a boat at sea tossed back and forth by waves unknown.

2) What is my purpose?

Why am I here? We search but in vain to find meaning, so we try

  • The Church

The sermon is nice, the leaders are okay, the word is true, the family is the perfect example of love but something is missing.

  • Education

Day and night we read to gain knowledge but the void still remains.

  • Flames

We surrender our body to it for a good cause hopping to find meaning

  • Living free

A life with no ties no comment no responsibility. We get wasted partying every weekend but Monday morning is a reminder that the meaningless cycle begins all over again.

3) What is my destination?

There is nothing more frightening than the great unknown, chasing a life not known wondering if tomorrow you’ll be or back to your maker you returned in HEAVEN. But still you wonder…who is worthy to stand at its gate…

“It is vanity we are chasing, meaningless living. “

We try so hard to find (Ecclesiastes) except the one place we can truly find (IN CHRIST ALONE) meaning, purpose and worth.
